busy busy busy

so keeping a log on the divas sleep didnt pan out , ive been so busy with working i didnt have a chance to do it .
But she is sleep better again , self settle , if we could just sleep to 6.30 i would be over the moon .

the diva speech is coming along great everything is no mummy me's lol
she still wont walk in the house but we will get there

day 1 of new sleep routine

DAY 1


just before lunch we went for a wee walk around the square , which was lovely she had great fun pointing at things plus the sounds of the leaves crunching was lovely . We came home and she had spaghetti and sausages and a little play .
11.45 she was fading so up we went she got her dummy and i placed her in her cot and put her mobile and sadie the seahorse and kissed her said good night , kayleigh cried a little but not anything to be worried about . she self settled and slept for 1 hour and 20 mins - success

bedtime
kayleigh had tea , then off for a little walk i didnt want to go to far as i dont want to damage to her wee legs but she had different ideas and threw a paddy we i wanted to turn back , the it was a wee play with daddy , changed for bed , bottle and a story and popped into her cot with a mobile and her sea horse and she didnt even make a sound granted she was near asleep when i popped her in it but still she is now snoring

now im hoping she sleeps all night

OK we've been struggling , kayleigh used to be great pop her in the cot then leave , one wake up and up at 6.30 heaven , but then teething started and it went down hill , its just got worse and worse and on Tuesday night resulted in me getting 3 hours , i know its teeth and a reaction to her injections but today im grabbing the bull by the horns today is day one of the re introducing of sleep training and i'll be keeping a blog to track her progress .

gosh the last few weeks have been mad with work and the diva, im hoping it will calm down now as we are in a better routine and are used to it .

the diva speech has came on great she now does most animal noises and copies everything you say , she is also walking but still favours crawling its faster that way, she does like to hold your hand and walk outside lots . she has developed a temper and you certainly no about it if she isn't happy or doesn't want it lol , she also has started climbing which is blooming scary her favourite is on her toy box or activity table

today Thursday the 6th oct 2911 she is off for her jabs , i think im more worried and scared of how she will react as she is so much more aware of things now xx

busy few weeks

well im back to work mon-wed 8-6, plus ive still got my Saturday job , its been hard getting back into after being off for nearly a year and ive decided i do like it and love the money but there is no way i could ever go full-time again
kayleigh has had a bad cold mixed in with teething , we have had one snotty diva lol she is still not walking but its standing up loads and cruising loads

my obsession with happy-land has slowed down which my bank account is happy with , ive bought a castle , fire station, fair ground and safari plane , plus ive bought 2 sets for the diva Christmas present , i love them and think they are so cute , next month i want the train set, school and pirate ship thank god for eBay lol

quick update on us

im back to working 3 days 10 hrs each day plus my saturday job , this week has been a blur of getting organised and sorted , which im hoping im getting there , fingers crossed by the end of september i'll be supper organised .

this went the diva has been throwing temper tantrums , and her cry is so high pitch now it goes right through me , though her language is coming on great and today she said her own name .

must dash now as ive still to bake niamh a birthday cake, make monkeys and finish kayleighs cushion

wow we have a 1 year old

yesterday Saturday 27 august our princess turned 1, it was such a wonderful day .
we started off with breakfast and a quick tidy up

jose ans i then brought her into the living room , were kayleigh got very excited with lots of wows at her gifts especially her bouncing zebra

 she loved opening all her gifts , kayleigh got lots lovely toys and so many clothes,
we then had joses family down to party with us
it was great though i did get a little choked up when we sang happy birthday
i cant believe a year has past already my gorgeous newborn is turning into a beautiful funny toddler

Nothing brings us more happiness than the smile on your face. We want to see that smile on your lips forever. Happy Birthday to the best daughter in the whole wide world!

2 days until our little diva is one , this time last year i had just been sent home from hospital with my second  failed induction little did i no that my next induction would fail to and my labour would start on the thursday at lunch time

tuesday 16 august 2011

we set of for wexford at 5 pm , the car loaded baby fed and off we went , luckily kayleigh fell asleep straight away and jose and i played car games for 2 hours while eating chocolate heaven and fun lol

kayleigh woke up with 45 mins before we arrived 

we are just before dark and the house was gorgeous like a little wooden cabin, we un loaded the car and headed for the beach it was 5 mins away and gorgeous 

kayleigh wasnt tired due to the sleep so we had tea and wine and headed to bed at 10 ish it had been a busy day 

kayleigh slept through first time in ages 

wednesday 17 august 

kayleigh and i got up early and the sun was shinning so we had breakfast on the deck she loved crwaling up and down and i loved the sea view 

we headed to the headed to the beach , kayleigh hated the sand on her toes and the water was freezing but the weather was lush , kayleigh in her wee swimsuit and i got my ankles burnt even though i had suncream on 

at the house kayleigh napped and jose and chilled on the deck it was so peaceful

we headed into courttown for a gorgeous walk before tea , it was such a cute sea side town 

thursday 18 aug 

weather was still nice but slightly overcast we headed to gorey village it had such gorgeous we shops , we spent the wandering around 

then headed to the beach for more fun , had alovely tea and some wine and while kayleigh was in bed we played cards 

friday 19 aug 

we had to pack up and load the car up today it was home time , after we got the house sorted we headed for lunch before coming home 

it was alovely few days , ive never been as relaxed , it was great fun spending it with my wee family and i think as a first family holiday it was a success 

party number 1

13th aug 2011 we held the first of kayleighs parties due to my family being away on her actual birthday , i spent the 2 days before baking, icing, doing party bags and sorting pass the parcel . the 13th was kayleighs actual due date this time was year she wasnt here just a massive bump we actually went to dublin zoo

any way back to the party , i was very impressed with my table 

i hope everyone had a lovely time i didnt really get to speak to everyone to busy sorting for and party games, the party girl seem to enjoy herself which was the main thing. she got lovely presents from everyone . 

it was a lovely day , now on the count down to her big birthday and her second party which i know there will be tears as my baby is getting bigger and less like my baby everyday

2 days until party number 1 , well every little diva needs to have 2 parties right?
cupcakes and afternoon tea is on the menu on the 13th aug which actually turns out that that was kayleighs due date but she kept us waiting for another 2 weeks lol

today im busy baking lots of cupcakes small and 1 giant one and cake  pops , then it will be decorating tomorrow , somewhere in between ive to clean and if the rain ever stop jose has the garden to do

this week has been busy and ive been feeling emotional coming up to kayleighs birthday , her baby days are coming to an end but im amazed at the new things she does everyday , her language is amazing ,who ever said bilingual babies are slow to talk should see our gorgeous girl

she is a so funny and brings us such joy , now only thing we need to do is crack this sleeping business though ive got to admit last night was a good night fingers crossed it stays that way

well today kayleigh got 2 front teeth so she now has 4 and she has learnt to say lyndsey and was shouting it at me all day copying a little boy i mind , she also stood on her own longer what a busy day , you would think she would be tired nope lol

funny half hour

kayleigh was in great form yesterday and had a ball playing with my pooh ears hair band , she loved trying to put them on and found it so funny when i put them on daddy

11 months today

our baby is 11 months today , 4 weeks until we have a 1 year old. this has been the fast 11 months of my life , i have never felt joy , happiness and tiredness like it . kayleigh is getting more and more independent and is getting less baby and more toddler like every day .

every morning i wake with a smile and love her reaction when she sees me when i come into her room 

love you baby girl , your my angel , my life and my everything x

early birthday present

not even 11 months yet and she is getting early birthday presents from her papa and linda , im pleased though as she will get the use out of it over summer

she loves it and goes weeeeeeeeeeeeee everything you put her on it

ive struggled this week

ive really struggled this week not with being a mummy but with life in general, ive had trouble sleeping averaging 3 hours a night and it really hit home on thurs when i was up from 1 am . house work and work all got on top of me and the enjoyment this week was from my little diva x

what a week

last week was a very busy week , i had my niece and nephew for 3 days and kayleigh loved playing with her cousins , so much so that she only slept an hour every day they where here.

this week kayleigh learnt a new word baby , its the cutest thing ever and she is so vocal now .
kayleigh can now say at 10 months - baby , mickey, daisy, bubba ,mamma, dadda, hi ya, what, yes .
plus she loves to shake her head when she doesnt want anything.
kayleigh also found the joys or crawling naked and has become a nightmare to change nappy and clothes which makes it 10 times harder to do .
